What is it and when is it done?
The health check-up is a preventive package: blood and urine tests, ECG, abdominal ultrasound, internal medicine exam, often chest X-ray, thyroid, gynaecologist or urologist. Recommended yearly from 40.
How long does it take?
2–4 hours, usually in the morning.
How do I prepare?
Fasting 12 hours (water allowed). Morning urine. Bring medication list and previous results.
What happens afterwards?
Summary report with recommendations in 2–7 days.
Referral: No referral is needed for a private appointment. In the public system you need a referral from your family doctor.
