What is it and when is it done?
The rehabilitation programme at a spa or rehab centre combines physiotherapy, hydrotherapy, exercises and medical supervision, usually 1–3 weeks. After hip and knee surgery, for chronic back pain, rheumatic diseases and after stroke.
How long does it take?
7–21 days, 2–4 hours of therapy daily.
How do I prepare?
Medical records for the therapy plan. Comfortable clothes and swimwear.
What happens afterwards?
Final report with recommendations and home exercises.
Referral: No referral is needed for a private appointment. In the public system you need a referral from your family doctor.
