Private appointmentsAbout Mole check
What is it and when is it done?
Dermatoscopy examines moles with a polarised-light magnifier and detects suspicious changes (melanoma) before they are visible to the naked eye. Recommended yearly, more often with many moles, fair skin and family history.
How long does it take?
15–30 minutes for the whole body.
How do I prepare?
No make-up or self-tanner. Remove nail polish.
What happens afterwards?
Report immediately; a suspicious mole is removed and analysed.
